Press Release Tirumala, August 23: Sri I Y R Krishna Rao, Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams today announced relaxation of timing for benefit of the devotees using the foot walkers path from Alipiri. The footwalkers path for devotees who climbed to Tirumala will henceforth be kept open from 4AM in the morning to 10PM in the night. For last two weeks the foot walkers path shut down between night 10PM to Morning 6AM. In a statement Sri Rao appealed to the devotees to cooperate with the TTD as the new measure was enforced for their safety and protection in view of the recent scare caused in the last two months by the panthers to the devotees coming by the foot walkers path. Sri Rao said the Foot walkers path was shut down in the nights after 10 PM for two weeks from August 7 th to August 22 nd to facilitate the forest guards and police to lay trap to catch the rogue panther.
